1.1 Summarise key aspects of legislation, regulatory requirements and codes of practice relating to own role and responsibilities My reason for undertaking the course is to have a more formal understanding of the specific content involved in considering the roles and responsibilities of the teacher within the setting of lifelong learning, and the boundaries of teaching in order to provide a supportive learning environment.
I run a consulting business specialising in inspiring people to consider the need to change, and improve their sustainable employability opportunities.
The common denominator of the groups is that they attend the courses run by various agencies for which I provide consultancy, is as a matter of requirement usually determined by legislation. Invariably because the individuals carry a degree of negativity, it is paramount therefore that an immediate rapport is established and my ability to empathise is demonstrated.
As the learners are drawn from a mixture of age groups, cultures and life experiences, the programmes I have developed and indeed successfully practised, are designed to specifically remove the fear factor from those who are long term unemployed, possess low skill sets, or for people dreading the return to the classroom environment or grasping new technology. The Programmes I, use are drawn from research via the Institute of Consulting and my many years involved in the communication and marketing sectors in the financial market. The specific services I provide can help learners to understand what skill sets they need to develop and to improve opportunities to return to employment.
