We are all different but the opportunities available to us should be the same. Inclusive learning recognises all students and attempts to provide access to all services for all students. All students have the right to be treated fairly, be involved and included in all activities. A teacher should see the differences in students and recognise the qualities. These qualities can be exploited to help the student using such methods as reflective learning using quizzes or allowing students to reflect on their own experiences. VAK can be used to exploit the qualities of students with kinaesthetic, visual or auditory learners. The teacher could also create individual learning plans for learners to meet the demands of their individual qualities. Self-reflection is also a good way for a teacher to gain understanding of the effects of their teaching and help to plan a better learning experience. Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of these learning approaches is also integral to the teaching of these approaches. When using a group session it can bring the confident student to the limelight and the shy quiet student can be hidden. The methods are a door for all students and it is important not to close it too early but allow all through. Clashes of egos can happen sometimes too, directing this is important. Ultimately not all students learn in the same way but all students learn. Staying too long with one method can lead to some students learning less. When methods go on and on it is easy for the active student to switch off conserving their brain power for more enjoyable things, this is a dangerous thing in martial arts training.
