501 Use and develop systems that promote communication  

Review the range of groups and individuals whose communication needs must be addressed in own job role
Within my job role I communicate with wide range of people this could be direct support staff who I manage, senior managers, external agencies, service users and their relatives. I do communicate with these people using several methods such as meetings, training, face to face discussion, and whilst undertaking assessments. To do this successfully I need be able to listen, disseminate and deliver information, provide and receive feedback, use questioning to clarify, take written notes, formulate response’s, negotiate, debate, compromise, make decisions  
Explain how to support effective communication within own job role
Within my job role I communicate on a day to day basis with service users staff members, and external agencies, the communication used is varied dependant on the person who is receiving the information. With service users I may meet with them face to face or discuss and gain feedback over the phone if the person is able to do this all service users are supported to develop a communication support plan to ensure staff know how to communicate using their preferred methods where needed additional training is sourced for example Makaton/PECS. When sharing organisational information with teams/ managers I will often send an e mail or use team meetings to share information.
