2.1 Evaluate own knowledge and performance against standards and benchmarks
I have completed a self-assessment type activity to establish what is required of me in accordance to my Job description, and the benchmarks and care standards, this helps me to develop it the correct way and to be used as a positive tool in my own personal and professional development.
As a professional, I have a responsibility to engage in continuous professional development. This means taking action to keep my skills and knowledge up to date and seeking to improve my capabilities across the range of tasks I carry out daily.
Below is the care certificate standards that came in to force earlier this year for new staff, but the points still apply for ongoing existing staff including myself

I use the Learning and development team as well as saucing information from college and other resources.
2.1b Describe the process for agreeing a personal development plan and who should be involved
I discuss this with my superior at my supervisors and appraisals
2.1c Explain why feedback from others is important in helping to develop and improve the way they work
2.1d Contribute to drawing up own personal development plan
I take on board any development feedback that is given to me and that is fed back to my staff and work towards a plan to improve or adjust.
2.1e Agree a personal development plan
While there are mandatory training to be had and upheld there are often additional deployments that can make all the difference with personal development. For example, If I was to support a person to bake cakes it would be an advantage to have a Food Hygiene certificate.
