Afterlife
What is an Afterlife? Does an Afterlife exist? Does it matter whether an Afterlife exists or not? If it is possible for an Afterlife to exist, is there any bearing on how we as beings continue to live? I propose to bring a glimpse of insight into these most intriguing thoughts.
While many people in this great world of ours believe in his or her own form of a higher being, each of us has an opinion as to whether there is an Afterlife or life after death. Based upon each person’s beliefs in the religion chosen by them, they either do or do not believe in this concept. I however, do contend that there is a life after death, and that this continuation of life will be greater and more wondrous than any life on earth. I base my views on personal experiences and beliefs gained from my chosen religious background (Young, C.L., 2011).
Christianity has and will continue to impart upon those who abide by and follow the teachings from the one book from which the Christian nation relies on, that not only is there an Afterlife but a life full of promise. My belief is firmly grounded in the teachings of this great book as well. The Bible is the foremost governing ruling as to whether an Afterlife exists. For those who believe that God is the highest and greatest of all beings, the notion that an Afterlife awaits us after death, is not to be questioned. Just as we firmly acknowledge that God is real, we also acknowledge that according to His word, the bible, which we who have accepted His son, Jesus, as our savior, will enjoy the “everlasting” life that comes after death in the earthly world.
So, to answer some of the questions from the beginning of this paper, which will undoubtedly spark debate with those who are not Christian, I will proceed with my opinion as to the first question: What is an Afterlife?
