Pro Choice Disagreement
There are many debates and arguments over pro choice or pro life when concerning abortion. In the article, Arguments for Pro Choice Abortions a woman has the right to terminate a pregnancy and have control over her body (Bose, n.d.). In this article there were no reference’s to validate the creditability of this statement. The problem with this argument is the logical fallacy, if women have a choice over their own body to have an abortion. A woman and her partner have the choice to take preventative measures during consensual sex to prevent pregnancy. This does not apply to every case for example, the crime of rape. In 2002 half of the women who had an abortion had the procedure performed before according to (Nadeau, 2006). It is understandable that women want to have control over there body. With the different types of birth control and how accessible to these products the number of the repeat abortions should be lower. The biggest problem for failure in the birth control methods within the first year is not using any type of birth control. This is confusing to understand why a woman wants to have control over her body but not take responsibility for preventing pregnancy. It is legal for women to have an abortion, but it is not ethical to avoid preventive measures to prevent pregnancy and expect to have the right to have an abortion as a form of birth control.
