Welcome,A healthy, secure and safe environmentis paramount for me.The children and infants are growing in a world full of dangers that we, as adults, have learnt to live with. We need to teach the children and infants to look for the danger in order to make sure that they don't get hurt. Every activity involve some risks small or big and it is by taking some properly supervised risks that the children can gain more confidence. By exploring and being challenged, the children will grow up and develop new skills. For example climbing a toboggan or going through a tunnel will be challenging tasks for a toddler and they will develop the co-ordination of their legs and hands. Playing football will allow the children to develop their emotional and physical skills. Exploring the world by visiting different museums or playing in different playground will help the child to develop their social skills. | Balanced approach to risk managementThe children need to be able to play at different games, to discover new activities and situations to improve their self-confidence. Always, I will make sure that the children are safe from danger and risk in order for them to not be harm. But, as we all know bruises and bumps are part of the learning process to become an adult. For example, if a child is learning to ride a bicycle, he will wear a helmet and some protections for the knees and elbows. As soon as a child is more confident riding a bicycle, I will gradually remove the protections for the elbows and the knees.The environment in which the children plays needs to enable the children to do more tasks and to encourage further progress. Having a walk in a different environment can be a stimulating experience for toddlers and children. The children can develop their physical condition and coordination skills by running and climbing to trees.
