There are factors that will affect children's number skills development like different communities, homes, schools, classroom and personal factors .
All communities are different they have different environments,resources,cultural,social and economic policies which all influence a child's home and school and learning development.
It's very important that home creates a learning environment as well as keeping completely involved. Have a home-school connection.
Schools need to ensure there is a numeracy development in place to support all children in all levels and have a curriculum in place which needs to be followed,as well as good resources available for children's use.
Despite the schools policies and support with resources the classroom,doing a one to one,using the teachers strategies and influence is a very important factor for child's development. Having daily activities,using the teachers strategies and using different resources all help the child's numeracy development. That's why it's important the school ensures all teachers had a good preparation and training program to be able to support all children at all different levels and challenges. Depending on behaviours and attitudes and numeracy levels of the classmates may influence the rest of the children and on the teachers instructional choices.
There are also a number of personal factors like good numeracy and literacy skills,memory,behaviour and attitudes,organisation,control emotions,understanding and knowledge everyone is different and at different levels that's why these barriers may affect the child's numeracy development.
