Question 1
A good academic practice is where a person makes sure that anyone who reads their work can effectively understand and identify the thoughts and the ideas they have put down on the piece of work they have produced and can analyze the thoughts and ideas of others.
The Open University uses a all-encompassing term which is 'Academic integrity' this is used to define the the good academic practice. this allows the individuals to show what they have learned within the subject or programmed study that is taken. this encourages individuals to respect and acknowldege the work and the ideas of others.
Plagiarism is where a person represents the work and ideas of another person as thier own. whn a person plagirises other peoples work they show that they do not undertand the topic of the subject as they are useing the words of others instead of undertanding the work effectively.

it is important to provided reference when using other poeple's work because the reader an find the orgional source of the work and will be helful to other learner can use for futher. all student must respect the integrity of one other's work, which is highly required to main aademic.The referencing system requires each time you refer to the ideas and words of others, it is necessary to identify their work by making reference to it – both in the text of your assignment, and in a list at the end of your assignment. You need to reference information from books, journals, videos, the World Wide Web and other print and electronic sources. OU Open University is using Harvard system.

I have been learned to give my self enough time to write my assignments, so this way i can avoid making mistakes.i haven learned that plagiarism is one the main problem in academic and it highly occurs in OU Open University study because student don t see teacher face to face and also use false references.
