In 1989, Dr. Jack Kevorkian also known as the “Doctor of Death’, created a death machine. Dr. Kevorkian along with many others have pondered the assisted suicide throughout the years. However, there have always been controversy throughout the years about the acceptance of assisted suicide. Assisted suicide also known as aid-in-dying is when a physician provides a poison to a terminally ill mentally competent patients. Their has been a constant battle on deciding if it is in the best interest of terminal patients to take a poison in order to end their life. Assisted suicide is understood to be the intentional aid in the suicide of another person. The lethal act is thus performed by the requestor him- or herself, the third person only simplifies the suicide by providing the necessary support, information and/or means. (Delbeke, E.
