Activity 1.1
Consider your work environment. What risks are evident or may be of threat to your
organisation? If you are not working, consider a well-known organisation in your local
area or economy, or a sports club or association with which you are involved.
5 different risk:
- Injuries
- Competitives
- Fraud
- Technological risk
- Economic and political conditions
- Reputation
Activity 1.2
Consider the organisation you used in Activity 1.1. Does the organisation have a
formal risk management policy? If so, identify and list the key areas that are covered
by the policy. What references are there to the current standard AS/NZS 4360:2004?
If the organisation does not have a policy, what key areas should a risk management
policy for this organisation cover? (page 8)
The organisations need to cover:
- Risk management objectives (specific expectations, outcomes)
- Risk management Scope (what is policy and how far it’ll cover)
- Risk management Processes (identify, analyse, treat, monitor, review)
- Risk assessment processes
- Organisational standards and procedures for risk management
