PURPOSE OF THE BUSINESS NEEDS STATEMENT DOCUMENT
Lupita’s Mexican Restaurant is a family owned restaurant that has been in business for over 14 years. The restaurant does well financially but it is difficult to expand to other locations when they are still running and keeping records as they did when it first was established. At the current time they are having a hard time keeping track of their sales as well as the employee’s time and record keeping. This restaurant has a high potential of increasing their profits by knowing how much their expenses are at a touch of a button and easy to read.

Business Need All food transactions are still kept track of with paper tickets receipts, the employees time is only kept verbally. There is no way to find out in an easy manner what the overall expenses ar.
Goals/Scope Find a way of improving record keeping in order to have all of the data at a touch of a button.
Rough Estimates We need to have a system in place by the end of 3rd quarter 2013 so that the staff can learn how to use the new POS system and the time keep as well as still having the business open in order for the owner not to lose any business.
