Chocolate

Chocolate

The first text is a draft from a novel called Choclat written by Joanne Harris, it was released in 1999. On the other hand, the second text is about how Green and Blacks made their chocolate fabulous. It is an article from a web page that was published in the year 2006. These texts have the same theme which is about chocolate-making, however these texts differ because of the method writing. The first text was written in novel form, whilst the second text was written as an article.

Both of these texts are about the process of making chocolate. The first text is written poetically, the language is different and it's not really formal on its own way, but it's more formal than the second text for sure. The second text is simple, it's written in a language that's easy to understand to reach out to a bigger audience. Some parts of it were even written in a bullet-point form that states the information on how their chocolate is made. Since the first text was a draft from a novel it doesn't sound that realistic as much as the second text, even though the first text was written in a poetical way, the second one shows the information more in detail.

The audiences of both of the texts can be a little bit similar that's only because they both give information about chocolate which mostly everyone probably loves. However, the audiences can differ too, they may have the same theme but they reach out to different audiences. The first text could be for anybody who likes literature, because it's from a novel whilst the second text is for the people who are aware of what they are actually eating, people who are curious and interested in knowing on how to make chocolate. People who read From Bean to Bar will get ideas, tips and tricks on how to make good chocolate. As for Choclat, it is written in a formal way, it may reach out to a bigger audience than the other text because it's a novel and it's obviously well-written, but the second text gives off better...
