The transformation from the traditional resources to the more natural and clean resources is being pursued and expanded by our President Barack Obama. Our President feels that there is so many opportunities and job positions that will become available if we make this transition from being so dependent on foreign oil and start using the types natural energy sources that are all around us. While on the other hand there are many people and opposing politicians that feel that this is an unnecessary and expensive push to change what resources we already have. They feel that we should just continue drilling off of the Gulf Coast, Alaska, and other areas that are not being explored in our country. These two options that are in front of both the government and the people in this country are faced with a very hard decision.
When I think about this issue I immediately know what side I would agree with the most because this is something that I would actually like to pursue in the near future. There are so many resources around us that we should not be so dependent on foreign countries and their oil resources. I feel that the pursuit for expanding greener energy technologies and job opportunities for our country and we will appreciate our accomplishments for a brighter future of natural energy sources. The fact that we have the option to strive for something greener or stay with what we are doing now is a hard decision for those that are resistant to change. Personally I feel that we are going to eventually have to turn away from these resources that we are using today because we will not always have them. These resources are not renewable and we will have to find alternate sources eventually. Why not go ahead and take the time and money while we have it and explore them before it is too late. At this point in time we may see this as expensive and unnecessary, but this is going to have to be done at some point in time whether we like it or not.
