In the future, how will thinking critically influence the ways that you:
Read? Thinking critically will influence the way I read in the future by making me pay closer attention to the material that I am reading carefully, not rushing through the material. Doing that will enable me to get the most out of the information that I am reading so I can form a reliable opinion to the argument.
Write? Thinking critically will influence the way I write by enabling me to put more into the subject I am writing about. The information will be solid because I was critical in the way I went about obtaining it for my research.
Process information?Processing my information I obtain will be a critical process because I just don't want to put anything inside my report. I have to check and triple check my resources before I can put or include it in my work.
Why and how could you apply critical thinking when evaluating each of the following:
Articles: By reading the article carefully and checking the sources the author of the article used as insight for this particular work.
Advertising: Don't just take the word of the advertising agency, but investigate on you own the validity of their claims, to see if their product really is all that.
Media: Check several media outlets to solidify your opinion on a certain story that was or has been reported before you make a solid judgment.
Conversations: There are two sides to every conversation and you have to investigate all sides before you come to a decision about a certain issue. Rush judgment in certain issues or cases can cause someone grave harm, their job, home, ect.. Always take into consideration all the facts of any conversation before coming to a decision on the matter.
These are just a few of the things I have learned concerning critical thinking and how I can apply it in my everyday life when I am doing all of the above. Critical thinking is something that is a needed part of the everyday life to...
