Problem and Issue in My Life
Self-employment has its advantages and disadvantages. When you are self-employed, you have the opportunity to be your own boss, but sometimes that is not always a good thing. Depending on others for your income is not as grand as people think. This can become a problem especially if the economy goes south. Let’s define problem; a problem is a situation that we regard as unacceptable (Ruggiero, 2012). In this unstable economy, my clientele was hit with choices of getting nails done and saving money, so naturally they have to do what is best for them. How can I overcome this problem of a declining clientele? How can I gain new customers? How can I compensate for lost income? These questions along with other questions are how I can come to a solution for this problem.
The issue in my life is the fact that I am involved in an interracial relationship. This issue has been around for years, but has only been in my life for the past year and a half. This issue has people all over the world at odds. It is more acceptable out west and in the north verses the south. Living in Georgia, people do not accept it like they do in South Carolina, where the guys I am involved with lives. Amazing how two states so close together can be so different in thinking? Let’s also take a moment now and define what an issue is. An issue is a matter about which intelligent, informed people disagree to some extent (Ruggiero, 2012). Many people do not agree in white-black relationships. Finding a way to resolve this issue in my life involves asking questions and writing down whom all is involved in my life that this would affect. Is this relationship going to hurt anyone? Does this issue affect my friends and family? Should anyone really have an issue with who I am dating because of their skin color? Who we fall for in this life should not be based on skin...
