Marketing is the main focus on this paper. Defining the word marketing needs reviewing first, so one can have a better understanding of the concept of marketing. Second, explaining the concept of marketing toward an organizations success needs reviewing. Last, providing examples from the business world to support discoveries in marketing strategies needs reviewing.
Marketing, one’s own way to promote a product or idea in a manner that will sell it to a customer. The main idea in the definition of marketing consists of the word process. Marketing involves researching, promoting, selling, and distributing one’s products or services. Marketing the process of interesting potential customers and clients in one’s products and services is essential. Essentially, marketing involves everything one does to bring a potential customer and a product or service together. When one puts together a marketing program for the business, one should concentrate on the marketing basics, the four key components of any marketing plan follows: products and services, promotion, distribution, and pricing. The heart of marketing consists of attracting and retaining a growing base of satisfied customers. One creating and then implementing a marketing plan keeps the marketing efforts focused and increases ones marketing success (Ward, 2010).
Marketing, is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large (Marketing Power, 2010). In dissecting the key terms in the definition shows marketing’s primary focus consists of identifying and satisfying customers in a way that helps build a solid and sustaining relationship that encourages customers to continue doing business with the marketer (Know This LLC, 1998-2010).
