Determinism and Freedom in the Government

The conflict between determinism and freedom is a long-standing one in government. This is one of those philosophical issues that might never be agreed upon.  It is up to each person how they views the issues and seeks was to resolve it. As with most philosophical issues, determinism and freedom is a contentious because they oppose each other and in order to support one, you need to give up the other theory. This will never happen with our government. It is generally believed that the two cannot exist together for they are in total conflict with each other and thus I believe are incompatible. It is therefore important to first understand what is meant by determinism and freedom.  Clear definitions of the terms can help us decided whether the two are compatible or not. Determinism" is the philosophical position, which maintains that behind every event is a cause or another event." Let's look at this a little closer, what this means is “that every event has a cause and that everything in the universe is absolutely dependent on

So base on the philosophical meaning, determinism is typically thought to be incompatible with freedom. So what the view is in regards to human theory that all human action is caused entirely by preceding events, and not by the exercise of the will of freedom in the government. In philosophy, the theory is based on the metaphysical principle that an uncaused event is impossible not on the fact that we are free...
