Anotace
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem dětství a jeho zobrazení v románu Oliver
Twist od Charlese Dickense. V první části definuje termín dětství a to jak byl vnímám
v průběhu dějin. Dále informuje o Viktoriánské době, během které se měnili postoje
chované k dětem a následuje část seznamující Dickense, kritika společnosti a zastánce
Prvotní Nevinnosti. Hlavní částí je analýza, která se především zabývá literárním
dětstvím Olivera, který představuje prototyp ideálního Romantického Dítěte a zároveň
je příkladem vyuţívaného, Viktoriánského dítěte. Dále ukazuje rozdílnosti ve vnímání a
rozdíly v přístupech k dětem mezi sociálními třídami a také jak s nimi bylo v románu
zacházeno.
Annotation
This thesis deals with the concept of childhood as presented in the novel Oliver Twist
written by Charles Dickens. Firstly it defines the term childhood and its changing
perceptions in history. Then it proceeds to inform about Victorian period during which
the attitudes towards children were changing and follows with an introduction of
Dickens, a social commentator and supporter of the Original Innocence. The main part
is the analysis which mainly explores literary childhood of Oliver who is a prototype of
an idealistic Romantic Child, as well as an example of exploited Victorian child. It also
showcases differences in perception...
