The novel: Brighton Rock, written by Graham Greene, and is told from a third person narrative viewpoint. It focuses on the lives of two major characters: Ida Arnold and Pinkie Brown. Throughout the novel, Greene mentions the continuous struggle within the themes of: Good and Evil, Heaven and Hell, Catholicism to present the choices that are made within the novel. Greene had originally intended the novel to be written as a detective novel, however this soon changed as the completion of the novel progressed.
