From using this self-evaluation grid it has helped me to realise the areas in which I feel most confident in and which ones that I need to develop my professional practice.
My most confident areas would be “communicating with parents and families” I pride myself on the fact that I build a very good working relationship with the parents/carers of my key children and receive a lot of positive feedback from them. I also enjoy spending time with them and getting to know the whole family not just the child. Another area in which I feel confident is “using ICT with children to support their learning” in my setting I am the coordinator for Understanding the World which includes using technology in the nursery.
