"Increasing Popularity of Working Holiday and Impact on Travellers' World Views."

Introduction
Working holiday has been a popular form of travel for young people in the past few years. However, not many people know about how the working holiday program helps with young people's mind-thinking and their future career. This report provides information about the increasing trend of working holiday for young people. The causes of the trend and the impact on travellers' world views will also be discussed.

What is "Working Holiday"?
It is a scheme usually offered by the government in the country which provides travellers opportunities to undertake employment in the country by issuing a visa for the purpose of supplementing their travel funds. Many young people can experience living in a foreign country by getting a casual or full-time job offered by the local businesses, without undergoing the usual costly expenses of finding work sponsorship in advance or going on expensive university exchange programmes. It also allows them to get a better understanding of the cultural and social developments of different countries.
According to Working Holiday Visa Australia, the basic requirements to apply for working holiday visa are:
  * Must be between 18 and 30 years old.
  * Must have a valid passport with at least 6 months until renewal.
  * Must have sufficient funds to support yourself when you arrive
  * Must not have any substantial criminal convictions.
  * Must not have any substantial medical issues.
If an individual can satisfy the above requirements, they are given qualifications to apply for working holiday scheme. The duration of working holiday visa is often a year for the participant staying in a particular country.
