To Whom It May Concern:
As a recent recipient of an LPN license and as a former CNA, I am interested in discussing the contribution I can make to the nursing staff at the Cumberland County Correctional Facility.
Although a recent graduate, I have a background that encompasses healthcare experience including direct patient care, reporting objective and subjective information to charge nurse, and working with severely impaired adults. I am sure that with my motivation and sense of responsibility, I can quickly become a productive member of your staff.
Starting as a CNA has given me the training and work-ethic necessary to fulfill the rigorous requirements of employment as an LPN. As an experienced professional, I can certainly do an excellent job with all patient care and follow-up. Daily work, as an adult student in a demanding program, has sharpened my assessment skills, and prioritization abilities, important criteria for a strong LPN.
Total commitment to the patients in my care and to the achievement of the objectives of the facility and medical staff is my primary focus. You will find me to be quick to learn and eager to initiate self-directed work when appropriate. The attached resume highlights the skills that you may find useful to your staff.
