I would talk to the project manager, and tell him what would happen. Explain to him what could happen if we go with this. Tell him about the solution, and how it will take longer to finish, and the budget will go up. This will effects section three Professional obligation's which says Engineers shall be guided in all their relations by the highest standards of honesty and integrity. Engineers shall acknowledge their errors and shall not distort or alter the facts. Engineers shall advise their clients or employers when they believe a project will not be successful.
Case 9
As a professional engineer I would talk to the mall owner, and tell him about possible collapse. Show him how the floor's vibrates. Explain him to close the walkway, and talk to engineers to fix the problem. This will effect section three Professional Obligations. . Engineers are encouraged to participate in civic affairs; career guidance for youths; and work for the advancement of the safety, health, and well-being of their community.
Case 7
I would take the course, and write that I will finish the course before I start working. This effect section two rules of practice. Engineers shall not falsify their qualifications or permit misrepresentation of their or their associates’ qualifications. They shall not misrepresent or exaggerate their responsibility in or for the subject matter of prior assignments. Brochures or other presentations incident to the solicitation of employment shall not misrepresent pertinent facts concerning employers, employees, associates, joint venturers, or past accomplishments.
Case 6
I would be furious as I don’t get any credit for it. I helped with a project, and I did not get credit to whom credit is due. I would sued the local company because of ethics state "Engineer should give credit to whom credits is due".
Case 4
I would stop working with LMN, and go back to solely working with ABC. This will violate rules of practice....
