S&P Fundamental and Political Analysis
The S&P 500 Index is a leading U.S. stock index based on the market capitalisation of 500 large companies listed on the NYSE or NASDAQ. It is widely considered to be the best representation of the U.S. market and the health of U.S. and global investor sentiment.
Recently, both the S&P 500 and the DJIA Indices have been reaching all-time highs, indicating strong investor sentiment. Many of the key U.S. macroeconomic data in the recent months has also been positive, with unemployment close to a 7-year low at 5.7%; strong GDP growth in 2014, and a strengthening dollar.
