Evolution or Creation, Where Do We Come from

We live in a world that most consider to be wonderful, we enjoy our lives as it is and we work very hard to make things better every day. How often does one stops to think about our existence. Where did it all begin, Creation or the Big Bang? And where will it end, eternity or the great big crunch?
Genesis 1 verse1and 2“In the beginning god created heaven and earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters” (The Holy Bible).
The bible went on with the creation story that God created human in his likeness and image. This indicates that the higher being that is responsible for this world that we live in and everything in it looks like me.
Then there is the theory of evolution and the story that states that we have evolved, from species lower than us to get to where we are now. If that was the case why are we not still evolving, to more superior beings?
Christianity is vast in the world we live in and the creation story is very popular. We are here we live and die and some believe we will rise up and go to heaven one day to live an everlasting life.
Some may consider the question that I am about to ask blasphemy, but where did God come from? Did he just appear out of nowhere and decide that he is lonely and he wants to make the darkness that he was in light, and make people to enjoy a better version of his existence. How long was he living in the darkness or did he just hatched from an egg and realize that it was dark and that he possessed the power to change that.
There are constant studies being conducted by scientist today on the beginning of human existence. There are tests that have been developed to test finds by archeologist, to suggest life on earth to be around much longer than creation calculates it to be.
