Fantastic Four

With in a year after the war the population skyrocketed as well as the divorce rate. CNN Library states that the Baby Boomer generation is, "the generation of Americans born between 1946 and 1964." Some "77.3 million" Americans were born into this generation and "1,181,000 divorces" came with it. The fantastic four gave children the sense of 'family life' they didn't have because most of the parents got a divorce after the war.
    World War II became the main reason for many hardships for many years to come. "With war comes devastation, depression, deprivation, and death." Says The American Family in World War II. The war had many advantages and disadvantages. To demonstrate, it " opened up many new opportunities," but it also, "brought a fair more serious reality regarding life in its normal state."       The Divorce rate, after the war, was at a all time high. The American Family in World War II says, "Some 20 million people existed on the border of starvation as many families faced a server shortage of housing, lack of school, hospitals, and child-care facilities. Those factors contributed to an upsurge in divorce, resulting in severe problems amongst the young." More than half of marriages ended in divorce with shockingly "1,181,000 divorces" after the war.     The men going to war had extremely tough lives, but the children's weren't any easier. "Separation friend fathers and sons left devastating effects, and in a sense, many felt robbed of their childhood," says The American Family in World War II. "Attracted by waiting jobs, The number of high school dropouts increased significantly, resulting in the teenage work for swelling from 1,000,000 to 3,000,000 youngsters," states in The American Family in World War II.
