Gmos Economy

GMOs or Genetically Modified Organisms are organisms whose genetic elements are changed by using gene technology. In our society today GMOs are important in all aspects of this world, including the environment. A subject that is being studied in food production is being able to create pesticides and have a resistance to certain herbicides. These man-maid qualities are convenient in the making of crops because they will harvest in perfect conditions and the demand of chemicals will decrease, and fewer chemicals will be used in products. Using GMOs could also protect and stop the use of water, oil, food and fertilization. It (GMOs) could also protect the plants from obtaining insect damaging and plant damaging. In San Diego at the University of California reports have been made that an insect repellent by a toxic bacterium can be added to crops to lower the number of pesticides used in plants. Therefore it can reduce the time, the work, and the supplies that farmers are required to use. GMOs in food production can also cut down greenhouse gases (like CO2) and pollution in our local environment. The effect of this can promote the water quality, personal hygiene, health, and more food for the environment and for the world. GMOs can also have an effect in global issues like how the globe is lacking in the amount of vitamin A. To help reduce this deficiency, the United Nations suggest making “vitamin A-enhanced rice” (or Golden Rice). In addition, GMOs can increase in plants opposition the heavy weather conditions of the climate. In science labs, scientists are making trees that can reduce chemicals in paper production by decreasing the amount of lignin used in trees. GMOs can improve the restoration of plants by making GMOs have a salt and drought tolerance. Store wise, using GMOs in the environment, could prevent fruits and vegetables from rotting or spoiling.
In China, GMOs have helped China’s economy by lowering poverty and increasing paychecks. Because of the GMOs,...
