Google's Employee Culture
Introduction:
Google isn't just a search engine. A lot goes on behind that simple white page with artistic letters. There's an enormous group of great minds that put a lot of time and effort into making our everyday lives easier. We think getting to know more about Google's unique culture and employees can benefit everyone in this room. Learning about some of their leading practices that include, freedom, innovation, and family can give everyone a different perspective on this company and why they have one of the best work cultures.
1. Family Friendly Benefits
• Some benefits extend to family. What sets Google's culture apart, is its people. In Google employees agents just people, they're treated like family.
• Google pays for employees to learn. They reimburse employees with classes and degrees so they can get better at what they do.
• They have extended maternity leaves (6 months) for mothers and extended leaves for the fathers as well (7 weeks). They also give a $500 bonus for new parents to purchase takeout meals.
• Googlers and their family have travel insurance and emergency assistance even on their personal family vacations.
