A summary of Ara and Anwarcase study
Ara and Anwar is a married couple who came from Pakistan to England in 1980. They have two grown up children who are married and have children of their own. Ara used to work as a social worker and Anwar was an accountant. Ara has Multiple Sclerosis and she is in a wheel chair. She relies heavily on Anwar to care for her.by doing everything of Ara, Anwar’s own health is suffering as he gets back ache and he also has diabetes. There are times Ara worried about Anwar and feels guilty and dad for relying on him so much. As consequence Anwar is becoming socially isolated and a bit depressed. Anwar is the one who does it all and makes all the decisions and Ara has lost her independence.
Factors which influences Ara and Anwar life according to the case study.
Education: Both Ara and Anwar are well educated Anwar was an accountant and Ara was a social worker in England.
Income: Both Ara and Anwar were in well-paid jobs in England.
Housing: Both Ara and Anwar are very attached to their family home in England.
Disability: Ara has Multiple Sclerosis and is in a wheel chair and Anwar has diabetes and gets back aches.
Culture:Both Ara and Anwar came from Pakistan to England in 1980.
