Be able to advocate commitment to a positive health and safety culture in the organisation

To show how I provide sufficient and clear information to people in the organisation about the benefits of a positive health and safety culture have enclosed:

1. Minutes taken from our weekly Health and Safety Committee meeting, a copy of these minutes are displayed / available on the Health and Safety Communication board
2. Health and Safety Leadership Training Certificate. This course was delivered to all Senior and Middle Management within the organisation. I have enclosed two certificates: Ami Johal – Senior HR Manager and Lee Grainger – Logistics Manager  


To show how I obtain the support of those in the organisation who can promote a positive health and safety culture; tailoring own approach to meet the needs of directors, managers and employee representatives I have enclosed the following:

1. A copy of our weekly health and safety meeting minutes. On here you will see names and titles of the all the members who attend this meeting. It is a cross functional meeting and involves staff from various departments and levels within the organisation.
2. A copy of the Maier Business Brief. This is delivered on a monthly basis in the form of a presentation lasting approx. 30 minutes to all employees by a Senior Manager, by department. This consists of communicating key messages from the companies KPI’s of which Health & Safety is included.


To show how I use opportunities to communicate information about a positive health and safety culture I have enclosed the following:

1. A photograph of the Health and Safety Communication board. This is situated on the Shop floor and displays reactive and proactive information relating to my organisation.
