1.1 Describe the duties and responsibilities of your own work role
My work role is to enable young adults or older adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues & challenging behaviour problems to live in a supported living house & have access to the community with all the facilities that the community can provide, this helps them to live as normal life as possible, this is done by working together with other members of staff all of whom work towards supporting the individual needs of the service user, we help them pursue hobbies & any other interests that they may have to maintain an active life.
To assist in the development of each service user to support their personal care plans & relationships.
1.2 Explain expectations abut own work as expressed in relevant standards
* Work as set out in the inroads ‘Charter of rights’ & to uphold the vision & mission statement, protect the rights & promote the interests of service users & carers, strive to establish & maintain the trust & confidence of service users & carers.
* Promote independence for the service users while protecting them from danger & harm
* Uphold public trust & confidence in Social Care Services
* Be accountable for the quality of my work & take responsibility for improving my knowledge & skills
