In this assignment I am going to be explaining the different sociological approaches to health and ill health.
The definition of ill health and health, may vary depending on the different reasons such as, society or cultural for example; fasting can be seen as starving yourself but others see it as respect of the lord above.
But on the other hand the broad definition of health is the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit; especially: freedom from physical disease or pain.
The definition of ill-health is a state in which you are unable to function normally and without pain.
The holistic perception of health and ill health involves the individual’s physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being and places more of a focus on the positive aspects of health rather than 'disease and infirmity'.
