Horticulture
Horticulture services will be provided by the Supplier and shall include soft landscaping and internal planting services. For the avoidance of doubt external replanting and (save to the extent set out below) tree surgery are all excluded from the specification (but can be provided if necessary on the basis of an additional charge agreed between Fujitsu and The Supplier).
Objective
The objective of this service is to ensure that all external soft and hard landscaped areas and internal planted areas are developed, monitored and maintained to a level appropriate for use and function and to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the environment throughout the Fujitsu Portfolio.
General Quality Standards
All products used in connection with horticulture must be used and stored in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
The Supplier shall adhere to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 and any other Regulations for the delivery of horticultural services.
Only chemicals specifically approved for the purpose for which it is intended as dictated by the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 (as amended 1997) and the conditions of approval for the chemicals and any relevant code of practice issued by the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will be used. The Supplier shall ensure compliance with Fujitsu’s Environmental and Health & Safety Policy at all times.
All chemicals shall be applied in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and in accordance with all relevant health and safety codes. Use of pesticides and artificial fertilisers shall be minimised, by for example switching to natural methods of controlling weeds, insects and fungi wherever possible and maintaining soil fertility. The Supplier shall whenever possible substitute all slow renewables, such as peat, with organic wastes such as compost, manure, leaf mould, bark chippings and coir. Additionally, the Supplier shall...
