AC 1.1 Identify own learning styles and those of others
When looking to identify the learning styles of yourself or others there are different techniques which can be used. I have decided to used the the learning styles questionaire (apendix 1) and the scoreing sheet which follows (apendix 2). By completing the questionaire you give answers in to how you are thinking and what triggers or captures your attention to help with how we learn. To transfer this in to a way of learning we use he score sheet to mark of each question in a set catergory as follows:
Activists - These get involved with things without any bias towards new things. they are the type of people to give something a go and see what happens. They are continually busy looking for the next thing to do when one ends.
Pragmatists - these are people who get straight to the point and look to implement new ideas when they find them. They are positive to trying out theories and ideas to see if they work.
Reflectors - reflectors are people who will stand back and analyse data and gather additional information to make sure they are right before diving in to start something new, they can be cautious and want and answer for every outcome before moving forward.
Theorists - theorists like to think each step of a process, idea or method through first. this helps them to gather the information and decide on next steps. They can tend to be perfectionists and want to make sure everything is right. Anything which is not clear cut is uncomfotable to them and will only deal in certaintys.
Based on the questionaire completed by myself I have found that I sit in the area, this gives me more of an insight in to my own learning and what helps me to progress forward and see how to achieve the best outcome.
AC 1.2 Development needs
To best identify someones development needs there are two different types of models used, these are SWOT (apendix 3) and PESTAL (apendix 4)....
