Why College Education is Important to Me
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world (Mandela, Nelson). My education is also important to me because it will allow me to be able to provide for my family better in the future and to help my children see that continuing your education equals success. My goal is to become an Early Childhood Educator, and without a college degree, that would not be possible. Self empowerment, independence and a secured future are my reasons as to why college education is important. Education gives you better job which gives you a better lifestyle so that I’m able to fulfill my need and desires myself. College will give me a better knowledge of things. For one I will be able to work better with others because I will have to work with people more often. Therefore I will have more experience to communicate with people. Having more knowledge will also give me better problem solving skills because in college you have to work harder and study more. I will be able to take on greater task in life because a good education will grant a better chance at functioning better as a whole.
I want to be able to take charge of my life: self-empowerment. When you are educated you are well aware of your rights and know how to fight to get them. There is less or no chance of being cheated. You are indeed a better citizen if you are educated. You know about the rules and regulations as well, and what to do and what not to do. You can fight against the wrong and support the right cause when you are well aware of them, hence can bring a change in the society. What better way to unveil my hidden knowledge and make a difference in my life by continuing my education.
