America, Land of the free home of the brave, well known for having advanced religious democracies, as well as leading american scientist contributing in the scientific community. In America today, religion and science are both equally important. Religion and science has played an important role in America, since the signing of the Declaration of independence to modern day time. With science enriching everyday life in america creating a much easier lifestyle. Religion giving faith and values to the meaning of life and principles to live by, America allows the freedom to believe in any faith. America the great country it is known today would not be so if not for the importance of religion and science. With the freedom to believe in any faith, America has many different religious practices, playing such an important role contributing to american society. Religion has shown in many ways its importance in America. Religion has provided faith and principles to give meaning in life. As for instance a person may be an alcoholic, while searching for help there are many programs in churches that assist people who have strong addictions like alcoholism, through religion the people seeking help are able to beat their strong addictions. Christianity, one of the most practiced religions today. From a passage of a christian bible Roman 6:1522, it states that to be saved, to enter the pearly gates to heaven one must invest all of their faith and hope to the works of Jesus Christ. A few words from Jesus Christ, coming from the Holy Bible “love thy self as one will love thy neighbor” through Jesus words and having faith in his words to believe in its entirety, one can be saved to heaven. A strong believer and also a pastor, a man who believed in these words, came to bring change in America in a dark time. Martin Luther King jr who in his day and age America was free, however at that time America also was segregated by color ...
