Make yourself as comfortable as you can….settle yourself in a nice relaxed way….if you feel the need to move around….to get comfortable….then this is ok….just be calm and relax your whole body….from your head to toes….relax as much as you can….and now allow yourself to begin to appreciate the possibility….that you can relax deeply and calmly….now I want you to take a deep breath….and hold it for a moment…and now breath out slowly….inhale and exhale….now close your eyes….and relax….feel how very comfortable your whole body is beginning to feel.
Now take another deep breath and hold it….and when you let it out….let your body slowly begins to relax….concentrate on your breathing….notice the rhythm of your breathing….and relax your breathing….and now take another deep breath….this time when you release it…release all the tension in your body.…and allow yourself to completely relax.…more deeply relaxed than you have felt before….you may start to notice everyday noises around you.…but ignore them and concentrate on becoming totally relaxed…discard the noises around you….they are not important….inhale and exhale…..any stressful thoughts going through your mind can now slowly drift away….as your body and mind become totally relaxed.
You now start to feel your whole body relax…focus on your eyes.…and become aware of your eyes….and all the tiny muscles in them….just feel them relax.…so you cannot open your eyes….they feel so relaxed.…so tired.…so heavy.…that you cannot open them….enjoy the feeling of the relaxation getting deeper and deeper….feel yourself winding down….all the stress is going from your body…allow the relaxation to flow to your forehead….let it flow to your cheeks….and then let it flow to your jaw….allow your jaw and lips to relax….your lips and jaw may feel like dropping a little….as you become more deeply relaxed….than you have felt before….you can feel your muscle relax….as you float.…and drift…into a deeper, deeper level of total relaxation.
