Information systems are implemented in an organization for the sole purpose of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of that organization; as application software is a computer software that is designed to help the user to perform singular or multiple related specific tasks. There are many different departments in businesses that use these operations. The following will describe how the three; accounting, human resources, and marketing use these operations.
Accounting Information Systems conjoin with the design, implementation, and monitoring of information systems. These systems use modern information technology resources together with traditional accounting controls and methods to provide users the financial information necessary to manage their organizations.
Today, in the market, there are numerous types of accounting software. Some applications are indicated for larger organizations and some aimed for personal use. At the same time, other applications are intended for small business as well as the average person. Accounting software can be useful in functions as recording and processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. There are also applications used for payroll processing, the documentation of tax transactions, and the creating of related reports. At home accounting software is mainly used for managing house hold budgets and expenses. Some companies choose to develop their own accounting software that is directed towards their own special needs, while others purchase readymade packages. Some even use a combination of both.
