The first day back I was a little anxious but that soon drifted away. I’m very glad I decide to walk in and not have to worry about finding a car parking space. . It was very nice to see some of the people from the level 2 course and made me feel a little more at ease. This course is as I expected and is a massive step up from the level 2. There was a lot of information to take in but I was getting my head round it, only to find others were not I found it disrupting and a little annoying (Appendix 1) .I thought to myself that I would struggle to stay motivated it was like this every week. We had to use Moodle which is an online forum for the level 3 classes. Which I find a very helpful tool. The first lesson already brought some question up for me on how people’s moods affect others and why people have to project the negativity on others rather than we absorbing people’s happiness.
The citing and reference part of the course is all new to me and I am going to find it difficult to get my head round. Mainly because I don’t read at all and so have nothing to reference to. I need to start reading and set a time for it. I followed the guide that Bev had linked on Moodle and it was ok just kept getting the commas in the wrong place. I eventually got it write. But I still need to find something useful to reference for this essay. I posted a comment on the Moodle forums but after reading the criteria I thought I had made a mistake (appendix 2) only to find that my question was an interesting topic and got a few replies which I was extremely glad about. I have Moodle on my favourites at home and also can access it on my phone which is very useful if I want to catch up on a work break or just read on the go. We also covered the BACP values (BACP 2013) which are a guide line in which to professionalism can be followed. .in the groups I found I was doing more listening to the others than contributing.
