I chose to google an article about Judaism and I found some interesting facts from it. Not knowing much about Judaism besides it is related or seems to be related to Christianity I found the history from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_history to be very interesting. From the second article The Differences between Judaism and Christianity. I find it interesting that Jews do not only as God for forgiveness but also they believe in being granted ultimate forgiveness from the people they commit sin against. From the first excerpt of the book The Second Jewish Book of why I found it interesting that in 1952 they burned new reversions of Bibles. I had never heard of this before. I found the Nine Question People ask about Judaism interesting because it further explains the difference between Judaism and Christianity. From the link http://www.jewfaq.org/current.htm I found the Jewish calendar to be very interesting. I also found it interesting from http://www.jewfaq.org/populatn.htm that not every country keeps a population count so we don’t really know how many Jews there are in the world. But an estimated 13-14 million is a lot.
One thing that confused me from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_history was Hellenistic Philosophy. It said that Judaism during 332 BC came from that time and I do not understand what that means. From the essay the differences of Judaism and Christianity I do not understand how Jewish people think we chose a life of good or evil. Everyone is human so we are all tempted into sin every day. So would that mean we have all chosen a life of evil? Besides being saved how you can chose a life of good? After reading The Second Jewish Book of Why I still feel like I do not have a whole understanding of what the Talmud is? The excerpt from Nine Question people ask about Judaism was very hard for me to follow along so I am probably confused about most of it. I did not find anything confusing from the links of http://www.jewfaq.org...
