Nature and Purpose of Agency
Seventh-day Adventists strive daily to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, to become more like Him, and to serve others as He did.
The heart of our mission is to help others realize the hope found in experiencing a personal relationship with a living God and loving Savior, and nurturing them in preparation for His soon return. Deeply committed to improving quality of life and the world, Seventh-day Adventists can be found praising, praying, believing, loving and hoping.
In existence for over 20 years, our food pantry currently serves approximately 130 people every Wednesday.
Tasks Available for Students
Food Pantry
• Assist in preparing food bags
• Distribute food to community members on Wednesday starting at 12pm
• On average, the food pantry serves approximately 280 patrons a week
Time Requirements
12pm – 2pm Wednesday FOOD Pantry – volunteers should start at 11am.
Student Awareness/Special Instructions
**Must bring a recommendation letter with you. Obtain letter from the Office of Academic Service-Learning**
*Students should volunteer in pairs or small groups.*

Take the Q30 Bus from Utopia Pky and Union Tp station heading to Jamaica. Get off at 169 St and Hillside Av. Start out going West on Hillside Ave towards 168th and turn left onto 163rd St.
