In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Brother in Islam, thanks a lot for your question, which reflects your deep-rooted love to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). May Allah gather us all with him in the Garden of Al-Firdaws, ameen!
In the very beginning, it should be noted that our love for our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is really great. This love places many obligations and duties on our shoulders. Among these duties is to show respect to him, study his Biography and follow in his footsteps, defend him against any misconception and to try to spread the truth about his morals, manners and Sunnah.
As regards your question, we’d cite the following Fatwa issued by Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi, president of the Fiqh Council of North America:
Referring to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) Allah, Most High, says, (And you (stand) on an exalted standard of character.) (Al-Qalam 68: 4) (Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the praise of Allah.) (Al-Ahzab 33: 21)
