• Transformer-less Inverters for Grid Connected Solar PV Applications [Jun 14 onwards] (M.Tech Project Supervisor: Prof. B. G. Fernandes, Dept. of Electrical Engg., IIT Bombay) The Low power grid integration requires highly efficient inverters with reduced size and cost, where, Transformer-less Inverter is always an option for this application. But the elimination of transformer also generates strong ground currents which are a function of system stray elements, switching frequency, and environmental conditions. This project aims at addressing these limitations. – A novel Seven Switch Neutral Point Clamped 1-φ transformer-less topology is proposed and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink – The simulation results are verified using SABER considering the effect of switch parasitics and a hardware prototype of 1 kW rating is developed to verify the same – A control code based on P+R controller is developed for TMS320F28335 and validated the same – Hardware implementation for the proposed topology and the issues related to DC current injection would be dealt in future • Simulation Studies of Torque control Schemes for an Induction Motor [Dec 12 - Apr 13] (B.Tech Project Guide: K. A. S. Mallikarjuna Rao, Electrical Engg., GVPCOE) This project...
