The film "Midnight in Paris", is a unique love story of a successful screenwriter named Gil Pender, which is played by the famous Actor (Owen Wilson). In this film Gil travels to Paris with his fiancé Inez played by actress (Rachael McAdams) in search of the perfect scenery to develop his inner passion for writing novels. In the film Gil goes through a major transformation from a loving, loyal companion to a misunderstood misfit, who's views of true love that happens to no longer be the same. His transformation slowly begins by the indifference's between Gil and his fiancé based on Gil's feelings for walking in the rain, for which Gil truly believes is the most beautiful experience that one could ever have in Paris. First off, Gil's fiancé Inez believes that Gil shouldn't even become a writer based on the success that Gil has had in the movie industry thus far anyways. Especially when she believes that's not where Gil's true talent lies. The next critical fact Is that Inez isn't really too comfortable with Gil planning to leave their lavish lifestyle behind for which they currently have in California, for a completely different more modern way of living. Finally, Inez when compared to Gil, is very materialistic when it comes to value in personal items. This quickly sends the couple spiraling towards a sudden separation.
Now that we've gotten the basic plot of the movie out of the way, let's begin to actually speak on the film itself. First off this enchanted journey starts off by Gil refusing to spend a night on the town with Inez and her soon to be fling for which she's always had a thing for in college. Next, there's the mystical and yet magical encounter that happens on a step in downtown Paris after Gil realizes he's completely lost, once the clock strikes 12 at midnight.
