Moods

Moods...Moods....Moods... What's yours right now? Are you happy, ecstatic, sad, lonely, frustrated, angry, confused or anxious? Do you feel like punching someone in the face right now (ouch!) or do you want to do express your happiness by doing something bizarre? If you do feel like punching someone in the face right now (maybe me), please do not. Moods are to be controlled. You see, if you go around punching people on their faces just because you do not have a good mood, I don’t think you will end up back in your house with all your bones in the right places. Anyways, as I solemnly did not intend to joke around with you (maybe), I should get on with what I really had in mind of writing when I started.
Your mood may be defined as your state of feeling at a particular time: or simply, your disposition. It is not possible for any human being to acquire the expertise of handling their moods, but at least, with some practice, they can learn to handle it to some extent. My father just told me a few days ago that this so called “Teen-age” is the age in which humans are most likely to have “unstable” moods. He must be right; considering the fact that at the moment he is dealing with three “teen-agers” (including me, having just started this glamorized life). Even at the most insignificant matter- probably inconspicuous to elders- we teen-agers feel a rage of fury building up inside us, and then we explode!   Our state of mind at that time does not consider the possible consequences or outcomes of what we are intending to do, but just encourages us to do it. Most of this encouragement to devastation and disorder comes from Shaitaan obviously, but we also have a choice to choose from. We cannot entirely blame Shaitaan for this (though never consider him innocent), because Allah (S.W.T) has given us a mind to control ourselves and choose, choose between right and wrong, between patience and intolerance! Whenever an elder scolds us, mildly or severely, our bomb is triggered....
