Music Production Analysis Essay
In this essay I will be analysing the production based techniques evident in Hurricane Drunk by Florence + The Machine (2009) and Idioteque by Radiohead (2000). I will also discuss other elements in the tracks such as the lyrics, instrumentation and arrangement and how the production techniques have been used to help support these aspects and how it creates coherence in the two songs. Upon detailed listening it appears that the kick drum is overdriven as it fades in and then as the other instrumentation is brought in, the overdrive becomes inaudible.
