Have you ever driven subconsciously and snap out of it, then wonder what just happened? Well it happen to me one day, but when I came back into reality it was too late; because the event that had taken place immediately after traumatized me. When I think about it, procrastination is a bad idea, because the tires I had were almost bald and had no grip so I should have gotten new tires before. I had left my house that day to go to the bank and deposit a check. It happened around noon two minutes from my house, I was by myself, only a few cars were behind me, and I was doing the speed limit. The street I was driving on had an approximately ten foot median that was hill-shaped. I had my seatbelt on with my windows open and the volume of the music in my car was low. The breeze of the wind on my face made me feel relaxed. Before spacing out, the clouds caught me gazing up at them and they put me in a trance.
All of a sudden I felt weird and scary, like if my body and brains knew what was about to happen but could not react properly. Then actuality started to kick in but in slow motion and it also felt fast paced. It took me a second to notice that my car was about to go over the curb. So I quickly tried to turn the car away from the curb, but it hit the curb already by that time. When coming back into the street, I started to feel my tires spinning out. I had my head down and my eyes closed praying to God with my foot on the brakes that something worse would not happen. I lifted my head and became aware that I was facing the other direction of oncoming traffic but still moving with the loud screeching of my tires spinning out. With no intentions of stopping, I saw out of the corner of my eye, my car getting closer to the median. Boom! My car started going over the median, tearing up the grass and pouring into my car all over me. Then I felt my as if my car was about to flip over, but luckily it did not.
