-Francois Nars grew up in the south of France and spent his childhood exploring fashion by reading his mothers vogue magazines and watching classic Hollywood European cinema. He was inspired by Yves Saint Laurent.
-He is one of the most influential image makers in the world. He has worked with many famous fashion photographers for his editorial work a few of the many include Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, and Steven Meisel.
Background:
-Francois shot his first advertising campaign in 1996
-The company began with 12 lipstick colors and now carries over 400 products that are suitable for all skin tones and ethnicities.
Awards:
-He has just been awarded, the prestigious women’s wear daily beauty biz award for “Most innovative marketer of the year”
-Nars is known for its vibrant and highly pigmented color.
-Night Clubbing eye shadow black/olive green was made from to match a runway outfit.
-Nars has colors that are hard to find. It is impossible to spot the exact same shadows or any of their products.
-Nars is known for its highly pigmented products, easy to blend, vibrant colors.
Best seller:
Nars orgasm blush launched in 2008 best seller then ½ year later super orgasm was launched and was a huge success as well.  
Laguna Bronzer was also a best seller
(These two products were so big because the beauty of them was that they would compliment any skin type and all ethnic backgrounds would be able to use them).
