National Honor Society Essay
Membership into the National Honor Society is a highly prestigious honor. The standards to be in the National Honor Society are scholarship, leadership, character, and service, which I feel I possess all of these qualities. The National Honor Society is more than an honor roll, it’s a program to help high school students realize the outstanding things we can do.
I would like to be a part of the National Honor Society in our school for many reasons. It is truly an award and privilege to be a part of this organization, to be recognized for the hard work done by my peers, and myself. Another reason why I want to be in the honor society is to have a fun, exciting experience while being involved with service projects throughout the community.
I feel being a part of the honor society would give me more motivation to keep my grades at the highest they can be. I have always excelled in school academically but there is always room to improve. Also, being a part of the National Honor Society is always good on college applications. Even though I am a freshman this year, it is never too late to start preparing for college and furthering your education after high school.
One more reason I would be honored to be in the National Honor Society is to develop my leadership skills even more. I am a squad sergeant for the Golden Debs Drill Team, and I want to learn how to be a good strong role model for the girls not only in my squad, but for the whole team.
In conclusion, I feel my willingness to serve makes me an ideal candidate for the National Honor Society at Royse City High School.
